England captain and Bayern Munich superstar Harry Kane has been placed 13th on the Ballon d'Or standings, and fans are furious with the disgraceful ranking. There was also some outrage that Chelsea' Cole Palmer finished ahead of Kane despite having a forgettable 2024-25 Premier League season, which was covered up by a good Club World Cup campaign.
Kane placed 13th in the Ballon d'Or ranking
The build-up to the Ballon d'Or gala at Theatre du Chatelet in Paris has seen 20 of the Top 30 Men's Ballon d'Or announced. Kane has been placed 13th, surprisingly missing out on the Top 10 of the famed award despite bagging 53 goal contributions last season. Fans have publicly displayed their rage over the outrageous snub.

X user @south_southBoy wrote: "This is just so funny. Kane is easily top 5 in the world."
@hardeywhuyi1 added: "A joke. He had a better season than Mbappe."
Bayern fan @BayernArgento said: "Harry Kane out of the world’s top 10 according to some sh*tty awards, they’re just subjective awards, but it still pisses me off how they always undermine Bayern, Harry Kane should make the top 10 with ease, what a disgrace."
Spurs fan @owenthfc__ continued: "Harry Kane is genuinely the most disrespected footballer of all time. It's not even a debate. You're telling me twelve players had a better year than him? No chance."
@SamueILFC concluded by writing: "Cole Palmer above Harry Kane in the rankings is an absolute disgrace. He went missing for half a season while Kane got 53 G/A and won the league."
Harry Kane's 2024/25 stats
Over the course of last season, Kane scored a total of 41 goals for club and country while providing 14 assists, totalling 55 goal contributions. This was the third most by a player playing in the top five leagues, only behind Raphinha and Mohamed Salah. He also led Bayern Munich back to the Bundesliga title after they missed out on it in the 2023/24 season.

Kane has often claimed that he is not affected much by individual awards as long as he can help his teams fight for titles. However, the England captain's low ranking has once again shown that Kane is often overlooked and taken for granted when it comes to his performances.
