Villa’s Scottish full-back Alan Hutton picked up the ball in his own half and ran straight past Gardner, with the former Villa player barely making an attempt at a challenge before Hutton went all the way into the box and fired past Lee Camp.
Monk then may chose to take the Solihull-born midfielder out of the spotlight for another difficult away trip on Wednesday, and here at Football FanCast we believe that could be for the best.
