Leeds United announced on Sunday evening that they had sacked Thomas Christiansen following the 4-1 defeat against Cardiff City at Elland Road on Saturday, and Whites fans have urged their club to appoint Marco Silva as his replacement.
The heavy defeat against the Bluebirds saw the Yorkshire outfit slip down to 10th in the table, and they are now seven points adrift of the play-off positions having dropped off following a brilliant start to the campaign.
Meanwhile, Silva was another who enjoyed a positive start to the season with Watford, but his relationship with the board and his players soon collapsed after the Portuguese boss wasn’t allowed to talk to Everton about their vacant managerial vacancy in November, and he was fired last month.
Leeds supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the 40-year-old, and while one said ‘I would love Silva at Leeds’, another urged the club to “throw the kitchen sink at Silva”.
