Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on social media to a claim by Adrien Rabiot that the Premier League outfit are ‘below’ his level.
Due to his refusal to sign a new contract in Paris, Rabiot has been indefinitely benched and will either leave in January for a nominal fee – suggested to be €10million – or in the summer for free.
Spurs, along with Juventus and Barcelona, have been regularly linked with the 23-year-old, but Mauricio Pochettino will not be able to lure him to England after the Frenchman’s recent claim.

A source close to the player is claimed to have told ESPN that the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder will not negotiate with the London-based club as they would not be able to meet his loft salary demands.
ESPN’s report states that Rabiot would be looking to sign a long-term contract with a base £9.1million a year wage, along with lucrative bonuses and a hefty signing-on fee, that he and his entourage do not feel would be possible at Tottenham.
The opinion of the 6-cap France international certainly got the attention of Spurs fans judging by their reactions on social media.
