Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may feel his career has stagnated a bit in recent seasons, with the England international having to deal with a number of injury problems and constantly finding himself outside of Arsenal’s first-choice XI.
Reports today have suggested both Everton and Manchester City are keen on the signature of the 23-year-old versatile midfielder, who is accustomed to playing out-wide but has impressed in a more central role in the past month.
With his numbers for the season, Oxlade-Chamberlain should certainly be playing more games and they show both Everton and Manchester City could benefit from his services.
Whilst Oxlade-Chamberlain has always stated his best position is centrally, the stats suggest he is best when running at a defender out wide as he’s won a remarkable 44 take-ons during his 11 Premier League appearances this season.
Having also suffered 14 fouls, Oxlade-Chamberlain is clearly difficult to handle and his tally of four assists and two goals is a decent return for a player who has regularly been used off the bench.
